Friday 16th October - walk **** – Felixstowe seafront with Maeva –
rainy morning then sunny afternoon.
Woke to rain here in Felixstowe so Mag and I set off a bit earlier to pick
up Maeva so I could take a few weather pics on my mobile and was chuffed
when one was used on the lunchtime BBC Look East. It was nice to meet their
new kitten, Bernard again but Maeva had a pretty bad cough but she still
wanted to come so we headed for home. Maeva had brought her small rucksack
full of goodies including two small teddies and she asked if Granny could
make them some slippers for then so out came the contents of our craft
cupboard! While Maeva made something for her up and coming Birthday, Mag
made the slippers while I cut strips of material for waste and headbands,
great fun was had by all! Maeva,s cough seemed to have improved so I packed
a picnic and as the weather was still not great we just drove down the hill
and parked by the seafront near Bent Hill, I invented a game using some new
roof rack straps as pulleys to pull her willies and rucksack up and down,
she loved it! We then enjoyed lunch as the weather improved and the sun
made an appearance and with the wind offshore it was quite pleasant so
Maeva donned her willies and we had a lovely walk up towards the Spa
Theatre having loads of fun splashing in the sea and puddles, Maeva got
soaked for the second week running, just brilliant! Then home for some
quiet time with cake and a cuppa with Peppa Pig, her favourite at the
moment is ‘The floor is larva’, another top Maeva Friday!
